Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a rare pop phenomenon: A star who strayed completely from the world of country music to pop culture, becoming a pop icon that will last forever and conquering all of the world. Swift let go of the influences from her country music in the sense that they had been added as an extra layer of skin. She revealed that she was one of the best singers/songwriters of her time. Swift could make the moment personal or harness it to her advantage. Swift's first hits, particularly her neo song in tribute to Tim McGraw, showed off the talents of her. The album from 2008 Fearless revealed a songwriter who was re-discovering herself and finding a large audience. The album was hugely successful and not just in the US, where six of its singles have been certified platinum in the wake of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and You Belong with Me. But the album also enjoyed a great reception across the globe. Swift's next album Speak Now, released almost two years after the debut, further consolidated the success of this album. It helped propel Swift to superstardom. Swift's popularity continued to grow with her following three albums - Red (2012) 1989 (2014), and Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017) and saw her move confidently into a realm of pop music where she already belonged. Her popularity grew even after she reformulated her approach with 2020's pared-down siblings Folklore (and Evermore) and stayed atop of the pop world.
