While a student at university she became fascinated by the issue of gender and rights for women in the early stages. It was a girl who wanted to create the series of videos on the internet that would examine gender representations in video games. But, she was victimized by online harassment. Her determination was not slowed by the harassment, actually, it just reinforced her determination to be a media critic and feminist.
