Kelly Clarkson

KellyKelly Clarkson, in full Kelly Brianne Clarkson, (born on April 24, 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas, U.S.), American performer, songwriter and television personality who came to prominence as a pop-rock superstar after her win in the TV talent show American Idol in 2002. Clarkson was born at Burleson (Texas) located in a suburb close to Fort Worth. Her vocal talents were recognized when she was just seven years old by the choir teacher of the school she attended. After high school graduation, Clarkson moved for a visit to Los Angeles to try to make it in the show business. After returning to Texas Clarkson was a contestant on the first season of Fox Broadcasting Company's American Idol, a singing contest where viewers could decide which singer they liked best. Clarkson was loved by viewers for her captivating voice and wit. The prize she won was $1 million and included a recording contract with RCA.
